As of 9/28/07 we have installed the anchors and the pad. Nothing has been added to the tower yet, but this will be sufficient testing the Mark IIId PVC Hybrid.
On 10/21 we performed a pair of tests with the Mark-IIId PVC Hybrid. We bolted a thrust block (a piece of 2x4) to the top of the tower with U-bolts. The motor was strapped on with nylon straps. This photo shows the stand and the motor, fully prepped.
Movies of the test show the stand was immobile throughout the firing.
